In order to understand an ancient kingdom that existed in the sky, you need to collect six sacred books. From there, you can access the Ys II Chronicles fantasy action RPG, which takes place on a floating continent in the sky. In the Ys realm, Lilia, a young girl with red hair, faints after passing out due to blood loss near the swordsman Adol. Lilia is rescued by Adol, who then ventures off in search of materials to treat her illness and discover the hidden mystery at Mundria ruins. A BUMP system is implemented that damages enemies by knocking them down. Additionally, a magic system is included from this work and can be utilized to explore the dungeon through the use of six magic spells such as "Fire" that shoot fireballs and "Light" that brightens the surrounding area. No offensive button is present on the virtual pad used for the operation, so an alternate attack method has been implemented. This utilizes the BUMP system again to damage enemies.

The first and second parts of this work foreshadow the final part, which is Ys II Eternal. The latter portion of what was said in I and II is collected and completed with Ys II Eternal. A movie put out by the company “Makoto Shinkai” that introduces Ys II Eternal also exists. In fact, this film was created while Shinkai was a student at Nihon Falcom. Although its movement speed is impressive, I’m concerned about entering the house because of the difficulty in slowing down. However, it’s convenient for quickly moving through scenarios such as boss battles. Besides the BUMP system’s intense close-range combat, this work now features magic. By using magic, you can battle enemies like a video game shooting mechanic. Additionally, this installment expanded the narrative with additional uses for magic like dungeon gimmicks and story progression ideas. Because of this increased creativity, I was glad that this work felt more challenging than its predecessor.

Lilia's mother sent a letter to her son's doctor. Therefore, the game begins with delivering this letter to the doctor's house in the east. From there, follow the game's instructions and head to the Ruins of Moondria. Go north from Lilia's hometown or you'll find a grassland with apples and marl flowers. Recovering in the northwest corner of the Moondria ruins is old man Regus. His presence is marked by marl flowers and apples. When given to him as a gift, he provides useful information and recovery items. Anybody can give him a weapon, but it's preferable to speak with him first if possible. Doing this can save you money and time when buying weapons in town. The lower your level, the more likely you are to encounter monsters. Because of this, it's in your best interest to temporarily retreat before engaging with enemy forces. This is due to the fact that ruins and dungeons housing monsters feature more manageable creatures. Consequently, if you want to raise your level, focus on conserving your health and heading to these locations instead. ———
