R.B.I. Baseball 20 features a new controller that allows players to choose between a sport played on a real field or one that utilizes data from their pitch. Players can manually power up to swing the fence or use safe play to regulate basic functions. Come up with a winning strategy when working toward that goal. Additional character details include black eyes, dirt on a helmet and a larger model of the player. A new design element was added to this application by the creator— a large player model.

When entering this world, the MLB handballs are revamped to improve the crowd effect. New cut-scene animations and camera angles are instituted as well. All devices are reinstalled in the most modern way to provide users with the closest feel possible. All of these changes can be applied to favorite modes in a user's list for easy access.
