You play as Boris, the main character of the Bendy and the Ink Machine series. In this game, you must fend off the ink machine in a solitary struggle to stay alive. You can easily recognize Boris due to his appearance in Bendy and the Ink Machine 4: Apocalypse. As mentioned previously, you play as Boris as he embarks on a quest to find necessary supplies to keep his journey of survival alive. This game shares the same gameplay as horror games like Grandpa and Granny. Players find themselves in an abandoned animation studio, with Ink Demon monsters always lurking in the dark. Although players aren’t alone in this horror adventure, because Ink Demon monsters are always present in the game. There is no safe place in the movie studio Boris and the Dark Survival. The dark environment makes it difficult for players to fully comprehend the scene, but Boris can use a flashlight to help him see better. As he explores the movie studio, players will discover a mysterious plot. This will help them discover what secrets have been hidden in the place.

When exploring the movie studio, the game's left side of the screen displays items that players need to find. When an item is found and highlighted, it indicates that its been collected.
