SpongeBob and his friends need to travel far to return to their own dimension. The locations they explore look similar to Bikini Bottom, but the fact that they exist in other dimensions makes it a hard journey to complete. When traveling home, the characters of SpongeBob's group will have to cross into multiple dimensions. For instance, resources created in the Krusty Stache are moved to the Treedom; then, they are transported to the energy generator. By completing quest objectives in the specified dimensions, you can unlock the teleport button and use energy as your primary resource. This occurs naturally over time when you have purple energy lines appearing across your body. This is beneficial because it allows you to complete all of the character's missions and return them home.

When finishing SpongeBob's Idle Adventures missions, players earn different chests that contain different resources and cards for the characters in Bikini Bottom. These characters automatically transport products to different locations and operate the buildings without needing to be manually controlled. This means they dramatically reduce the amount of time needed to manage energy production. This character’s card at the bottom displays the number of cards a collector should collect to progress to the next level. Leveling up this character is necessary because additional energy can be derived from their cooperation. All buildings produce more products when placed at the center of a junction. That's because these structures serve as the focal point for the game's idle loop; it allows players to explore many different worlds and return home.
